Warcraft: The Beginning (2016)

I really don't know why rotten tomatoes decided to give this movie a 29% rating. It's absolutely ridiculous. It's a movie based off a game, so I'm not sure why anyone would expect a movie to have a plot or character development on par with the LOTR. To be honest I found "Warcraft" more entertaining that the "Chronicles of Narnia". I can't really think of any other war fantasy movies to compare it to, but "Warcraft" was simply quite fun to watch.

Yes there weren't much character development and depth in plot, but the characters were so entertaining to watch. The fact that 1 jacked orc would destroy 20+ human soldiers was quite realistic in my opinion and the visual effects of the witchcraft were also quite stunning. The details of the orcs, the weapons, armory, accessory, were all breathtaking. You could definitely see an upgrade of visuals from the LOTR series.

The acting was decent and the story was entertaining enough. Again, I didn't really expect to watch a spectacular piece of art so I was quite content with what I had in front of me.

Overall rating: 7.5
Promising movie that keeps the audience curious of the next sequel.
